Apply for DRDO’s One-Year Apprenticeship in Various Engineering Streams
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is seeking fresh talent for its High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL) in Pune. Fifty Graduate Apprentice positions, each lasting a year, are open across multiple engineering and science streams. The breakdown includes:
- Chemical Engineering/Technology: 10 seats - Mechanical Engineering: 8 seats - Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering: 2 seats - Computer Science/Information Science/Computer Engineering: 5 seats - Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering: 2 seats - Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering: 3 seats - Civil Engineering: 2 seats - Chemistry (BSc): 9 seats - Arts (BA): 3 seats - Commerce (BCom): 3 seats - Library Science (BLIS): 2 seats - Business Administration (BBA): 1 seat
Candidates must possess a graduation degree matching the advertised stream, be at least 18 years old, and be Indian citizens. Reserved categories benefit from age relaxations per the Apprentices Act‑1961 and related rules. The application must be lodged offline after registering on the NATS 2.0 portal. All documents together with the printed form should be mailed to HEMRL’s HR department before 28 August.
Selection will be made on the basis of academic performance, written test results, interview outcomes and document verification. Appointees will receive a stipend of ₹15,000 per month for the duration of the apprenticeship.
