Doctors Keep Close Watch Over Chenna’s Breathing Issues at Manipal Hospital

Bengaluru, July 18 – Specialist doctors at Manipal Hospital are maintaining vigilant observation of Chenna, the spouse of former prime minister H.D. Deve Gowda, after she reported acute breathing difficulty on Saturday.

According to family insiders, a dedicated medical team has been assigned to monitor her condition around the clock. Current readings indicate stable vital signs, yet the respiratory challenge remains unresolved.

The elder Gowda’s son, H.D. Kumaraswamy, who leads the central ministry of heavy industry and steel, has cancelled all official duties to stay by his mother’s side. His brother, MLA H.D. Revanna, together with Revanna’s wife Bhavani, also remained in the hospital through the night to provide assistance.

Deve Gowda, aged 93, joined his sons at the ward, where physicians briefed the family on the treatment plan. Overcome with emotion, he remarked that the ultimate outcome lies in divine hands.

Party representatives, including Karnataka BJP chief B.Y. Vijayendra, have publicly prayed for Chenna’s speedy recovery. Outside the hospital, supporters have formed a steady queue, hoping for signs of improvement.
