DMK alleges political intimidation as police seal Nehru properties across Chennai

The DMK has accused the Tamil Nadu government of turning law‑enforcement agencies into tools of political intimidation after the DVAC raided multiple Nehru‑related premises. Deputy General Secretary Kanimozhi labeled the operation a clear attempt to frighten opposition members rather than address the alleged corruption allegations.

She emphasized that DMK will face the raids through legal channels and will not be deterred by any political pressure. The party’s chief, M.K. Stalin, also condemned the moves, calling them politically motivated and insisting that the party will pursue justice in court.

The raids focused on locations tied to K.N. Nehru’s tenure as municipal administrator and water‑supply department head, where critics allege contract rigging, commission extraction from contractors, and recruitment malpractices affecting thousands of posts.
