DM warns stern penalties for anyone disturbing Bilaspur peace

Following a brief but intense clash in Bilaspur on August 29, the district magistrate issued a firm warning to the community. The scuffle, triggered by a long‑standing personal feud, erupted into stone‑throwing and physical assault, leaving several participants wounded.

Collector Sanjay Agrawal told reporters that the law‑and‑order situation is now fully under control, thanks to rapid police action. He stressed that evidence gathered at the scene will be used to file precise charges against every individual involved. "Any attempt to disturb the harmony of Bilaspur will be met with uncompromising action," the DM declared.

The senior superintendent of police confirmed that two FIRs have been filed, with further complaints regarding vehicle damage being recorded. Security forces have set up barricades and are maintaining a visible presence to deter any resurgence of violence. All responsible parties will face strict legal repercussions.
