Direct Bank Transfers of ₹3,000 to Bengal Women Mark Fourth Disbursement

Through a video conference on his birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi confirmed that the Annupurna Yojana’s fourth instalment is now active in West Bengal. A fixed amount of ₹3,000 will flow each month straight into the bank accounts of qualified women.

Modi highlighted that women shoulder numerous household responsibilities, and a regular financial cushion bolsters their morale and decision‑making power. He sent heartfelt congratulations to all women receiving the aid.

The rollout targets about 1.5 crore women, translating the funds into possibilities such as school fees, medical treatment or essential home supplies. The government assures that the process is entirely direct, with no intermediaries or “cut‑money” involved, aiming for universal coverage.
