Digital and Green Initiatives Planned for Nasik Kumbh 2027 Under New Framework
Under a newly announced Digital Kumbh Framework, Chief Minister Fadnavis directed the integration of cutting‑edge technology into the 2027 Nasik pilgrimage. An AI‑powered assistant, dubbed “KumbhDoot,” will guide visitors through real‑time information services. The framework also includes digital‑twin modeling of the entire event area, smart parking management systems, and facial‑recognition tools to locate missing persons quickly.
An Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) will monitor crowd density, security threats, and emergency response in real time. To keep the mela environmentally friendly, the administration will deploy thousands of temporary toilets, waste collection points, and a large cleaning workforce, aiming for a plastic‑free, green, and hygienic environment.
These initiatives are designed to enhance pilgrim safety, streamline traffic flow, and reduce the ecological footprint of one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
