Dhami’s Birthday Event Highlights Inclusive Plans and Infrastructure Projects

During a modest ceremony at the National Institute for the Visually Handicapped, Uttarakhand’s leader Pushkar Singh Dhami used his birthday to showcase the state’s inclusive agenda. He affirmed that education, vocational training and active participation are central to the government’s strategy for differently‑abled youth. The chief minister lauded Prime Minister Modi’s disability‑focused policies and announced that youth volunteer groups would label the day as ‘Youth Day’ and ‘Resolution Day’ to reach areas lacking basic facilities. Dhami listed several stalled projects—Lakshwar, Jamrani, Soung and the Kishau dam—that are now moving forward, with Kishau projected to provide clean drinking water, power generation and help remediate the Yamuna’s pollution across six states.
