DGPI Report Leads to Immediate Restoration of Two IPS Cadres

A detailed report prepared by the Director General of Police played a pivotal role in the decision to restore Vishwa​l Gunni and Kanti Rana Tata to their positions. The report, along with the officers’ written replies dated August 24, was scrutinized by the state cabinet before the suspension was lifted.

The reinstatement order, effective immediately, also instructs the Police Headquarters to ensure that the officers receive the official communication and sign for receipt. The administration reiterated that the cancellation of the suspension will not impact any pending disciplinary or criminal investigations.
