During the Mahakal Bhsm Aarti, the priest poured Panchamrit—a sanctified blend of milk, curd, ghee, sugar and fruit extracts—over the deity. This holy offering was accompanied by a fragrant sprinkling of bhang, sandalwood and vermilion. The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of a gleaming silver crown, a silver mundmal, and a dense garland of rudraksha beads, symbolising the deity’s supreme authority.
The crowd, which had been waiting since the previous night, cheered loudly as the priest placed flower strings around the idol. The melodious sound of drums and the rhythmic chanting of “Jai Shri Mahakal” echoed through the complex, reinforcing the sense of unity among the believers.
