Devotees Seek Family Prosperity During Shitala Ashtami Rituals at Maa Kalyani Temple

Thousands of families gathered at the Shaktipeeth Maa Kalyani Devi temple on Shitala Ashtami to pray for collective happiness and financial well‑being. The event featured a series of pujas, hymns and communal distribution of prasad, reflecting the belief that the goddess bestows health and longevity.

Women observed a vrat (fast) on the seventh day, preparing sweet halwa‑puri which was later presented to the deity. The same preparation was shared with all attendees as a symbolic offering of abundance.
