Devotees Gather for Elaborate Mahakal Puja with Panchamrit and Chanting

Priests from the Maha Nirwani Akhara performed the main Aarti, inviting thousands of faithful visitors who had been queuing since the previous night. Traditional attire was mandatory – men in dhoti‑solla and women in saris – as per temple custom. The ceremony featured the elaborate pouring of Panchamrit, the first ringing of a sacred bell, and the presentation of Hariom water. After the fragrant incense ritual, the silver crown was placed on Baba Mahakal, and the deity was further embellished with a garland of munda leaves, completing the visual splendor.
