Details of the new Z security arrangement for Stalin unveiled

Following the latest security audit, former Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s protection has been re‑categorised to Z level. The new framework mandates a multi‑layered police presence: a forward security team, a central escort and a rear guard, each equipped with close‑protection vehicles and rapid‑response backup.

The convoy will also feature pilot and escort cars designed to mitigate any sudden threats during travel. For public functions, additional static security personnel will be stationed at venue perimeters, ensuring rapid containment of any security breach.

Senior officials from the Secretariat’s Core Cell Security Wing, including the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, and the Director General of Police, verified that the revised arrangement aligns with the latest intelligence assessments.
