Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht Speaks on Flag’s Symbolism

In remarks following the Tricolor march at the Delhi Assembly, Deputy Speaker and BJP MLA Mohan Singh Bisht underscored the deep emotional connection Indians share with the national flag. He highlighted that the flag represents respect, dignity and personal pride, not merely a piece of cloth.

"The Ashoka Chakra tells us about the flow of time," Bisht said, noting that when people observe the other elements of the Tricolor, a sense of self‑respect and national pride inevitably awakens. He stressed that the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign has strengthened the patriotic pulse across the nation.

Bisht reflected on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s launch of the campaign, saying it made every citizen realise that the Tricolor is a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by soldiers at the borders. "Our flag stands for the bravery of those who gave their lives for its honour," he added.

The deputy speaker concluded by urging Delhi’s residents to uphold the flag’s dignity and let it continue to wave as a beacon of India’s honor and glory.
