Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla posted on X to commemorate the sacrifice day of the Gondwana empire’s celebrated leaders, Raja Shankar Shah and Kunwar Raghunath Shah. He highlighted their role as pioneers of the 1857 revolt, noting how their fearless stand lit the flame of resistance against British oppression.

Shukla affirmed that their contribution to India’s struggle for independence will always be remembered and urged the public to honour their memory by upholding the values of courage and self‑sacrifice.
