Deputy CM Calls for Parliamentary Discussion on Nagendra Resignation Controversy

Deputy Chief Minister G. Parmeshwar addressed the opposition’s sit‑in at the Assembly, accusing them of trying to leverage the Nagendra resignation issue to paralyze the house. He insisted that the matter be debated in a constitutional manner, noting that the alleged misuse of funds in the Maharsi Valmiki Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation does not require any minister’s sign‑off for transfers. Parmeshwar stressed that the state’s finances, managed through a Union Bank account opened on February 19, 2024, must not become a political bargaining chip.
