Demand for Bhil Pradesh Gains Momentum as Tribal Delegates Gather

A historic tribal summit took place at the revered Mangar Dham in Banswara on July 17, drawing participants from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Under the banner of the Bhil Pradesh Liberation Front, the gathering reached a consensus to push for a distinct Bhil Pradesh state.

Lok Sabha representative Rajkumar Rot criticized the four surrounding state administrations for consistently overlooking tribal welfare, labeling the resultant deprivation as a product of sustained injustice. He appealed to the central government for decisive action.

Vinod Kumar Kharadi, a senior leader of the India Tribal Party, noted that even after decades of independence, tribal districts remain deprived of basic development. He stressed that the call for Bhil Pradesh is driven by the need to unite scattered tribal populations and to secure their constitutional rights. The meeting, coordinated by organizer Bhanwarlal Parmar, concluded in an orderly and peaceful manner, continuing the annual tradition of July 17 gatherings.
