Delhi University’s SRCC Marks 100 Years with Modi’s Presence

New Delhi – On 5 September at 7 pm, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 100th anniversary ceremony of Shri Ram College of Commerce, a distinguished college of the University of Delhi.

The college, founded by Sir Shri Ram in 1926, has evolved into a centre of excellence for commerce, economics and management education. The centenary event is deliberately aligned with Teacher’s Day, recognising the pivotal role of educators in shaping the nation’s future.

SRCC delivers undergraduate programmes—B.Com (Honours), B.A (Honours), and Economics—as well as postgraduate courses—M.Com and M.A (Economics). It also runs a two‑year full‑time postgraduate diploma in International Business for students aspiring to international trade careers. The National Corporate Administration Foundation has conferred upon SRCC the title of National Centre for Corporate Administration, a unique accolade within Delhi University.

The college’s faculty includes noted authors and researchers, attracting high‑calibre students from across the globe. Recent graduates have topped the university’s merit list, earned coveted scholarships and received placement offers through campus recruitment even before official results are out.
