Following a report on the cyber‑crime portal, Delhi’s IFSO unit launched a forensic review of transactions tied to a digital‑arrest scam. The investigation revealed a Karnataka‑based private firm owning a Layer‑1 mutual fund account at Axis Bank, which transferred funds to a South Indian Bank savings account. The beneficiary, a senior citizen residing alone in Janakpuri, was promptly contacted. Officers coordinated with the local SHO, dispatched Beat Constable RK Meena, provided on‑site support, involved family members, and assisted the victim in filing a complaint through the 1930 helpline. Authorities then placed the illicit proceeds on hold and began legal action.
