Delhi Police Retired Officer’s Petition Dismissed, Court Urges Liaison with Centre

The petition, submitted by retired officer Rajendra Singh, asked the court to direct a ban on any massive protest in the national capital’s sensitive zones without requisite clearance. The Supreme Court ruled that maintaining law and order remains the primary duty of the police and advised the petitioner to convey his concerns to the Union government.
