Delhi Police to Examine Claims of Assault on Pappu Yadav, Experts Cite Past Cases
The Delhi Police have taken up the task of investigating claims that Pappu Yadav, a member of Parliament from Purnia, was attacked in the capital. JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar told reporters that the police will sift through every detail, drawing a parallel with the earlier investigation into the Bishonoi gang threat that Bihar police concluded successfully.
Kumar cautioned against politicising the incident, urging that the priority should be to uncover who was behind the assault and to examine the suspect's background thoroughly. He assured that the truth will surface soon through diligent police work.
In addition, Kumar touched upon the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, warning that foreign money can become a source of black funds if not properly regulated. He called for amendments that safeguard the use of such contributions for humanitarian and broader economic purposes.
JD(U) officials also affirmed that any individual found responsible for the attack will face strict legal repercussions.
