Delhi Police Clash with NSUI Protest Cited as Vote‑Theft Campaign

Congress stalwart Digvijay Singh accused Delhi police of harassing peaceful NSUI demonstrators in Devas on Friday. He claimed a female constable mistreated a woman NSUI activist and called for a thorough investigation.

Singh said the police resorted to batons and intimidation, describing the episode as part of an ongoing "vote‑theft" and "note‑theft" narrative being used by the ruling party. He alleged that electoral rolls are being pruned and electronic voting machines tampered with to manipulate outcomes.

He linked the protest to a nationwide anti‑corruption drive and warned voters that the upcoming elections could be compromised if such tactics continue.

Separately, Singh confirmed that his "Saty Sanatan Swabhiman Yatra" will commence on 20 October from Ujjain, traversing nearly 930 kilometres across Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and concluding in Ayodhya, focusing on religious and cultural values.
