No rain forecast for Delhi NCR; cleaner air thanks to winds

The latest weather bulletin for Delhi and the National Capital Region confirms that rainfall is not expected over the coming days, even as cloud cover becomes a permanent feature of the sky. The India Meteorological Department’s forecast for 10‑15 October shows a stable temperature range with highs near 34°C and lows around 24°C.

On 10 October, residents will see partly cloudy conditions with temperatures swinging between 34°C during the day and 24°C after dark. The following day, 11 October, the maximum will dip slightly to 33°C while the night‑time temperature falls to 23°C. A similar trend continues on 12 October.

On 13 October, a marginal rise could push the daytime high to 34°C, maintaining a night‑time low of 23°C. Humidity levels are projected to fall from 80% to 60% throughout the period, enhancing comfort levels despite the heat.

Both 14 and 15 October are set to retain the same temperature window of 34°C‑24°C, with predominantly clear skies and no weather alerts issued. The consistent lack of rain, coupled with the presence of clouds, has not jeopardised the improvement in air quality.

Strong breezes coursing through Noida, Ghaziabad and Delhi have effectively cleared the atmosphere of pollutants, leading to a notable decline in the Air Quality Index (AQI). The cleaner air has been widely welcomed by the public, providing a breather after weeks of poor visibility.

While the current climate remains relatively mild, analysts warn that a cooler spell could start forming in mid‑October. Until then, Delhi’s weather will stay marginally above normal temperatures, with humidity variations that may bring occasional warm sensations during daylight hours.
