Delhi NCR Sees Improved Air Quality as Rain Continues

Continuous rain throughout Saturday has helped cleanse the atmosphere over Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad. The Indian Meteorological Department expects clouds to dominate the sky on September 6, with only light drizzle, and a modest rise in temperature to 32°C. By September 7, partly cloudy conditions are likely, with highs approaching 34°C. Measured AQI values after the rain show a green zone status in locations such as Bawana (49), Burari Crossing (43) and CRRI Mathura Road (38). Noida’s sector‑62 delivered the best air quality at an AQI of 42, whereas sector‑1 recorded 86. Ghaziabad’s readings range from a low of 39 at both Indirapuram and Sanjay Nagar to a high of 86 at Ved Vihar‑Loni, indicating that pollution has been largely contained.
