Strict Enforcement Against Illegal Waste Burning Ordered by Delhi Minister

In a high‑level briefing, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa issued directives to curb illegal waste‑burning in Aadarsh Nagar. Attended by MLA Raj Kumar Bhatia, DPCC, DSIIDC and Forest Department officials, the meeting stressed that open‑air incineration of metal scraps releases toxic pollutants. Sirsa ordered immediate action against violators, emphasizing compliance with waste‑disposal norms. Monitoring of treatment facilities and installation of observation chambers at critical points were mandated. He also reaffirmed that road and drainage projects must adhere to approved technical designs, with no compromise on quality.
