EV Purchase and Scrapping Incentives Accelerate Clean Transport in Delhi

Delhi’s 2026 electric‑vehicle policy continues to gain momentum as over 2,700 citizens have benefited from its incentive program. The scheme provides up to ₹25,000 per two‑wheeler purchase and a scrapping reward of up to ₹5,500 for each eligible vehicle. In total, ₹7.61 crore was allotted for purchase support and ₹29.5 lakh for scrapping reimbursements. The policy also eliminates road tax and registration fees for qualifying EVs, reinforcing the government’s commitment to reduce vehicular emissions and foster a sustainable urban environment.
