Defence Minister Sanjay Seth Speaks on Patriotism at Ranchi Band Event

During the special presentation of the CRPF National Patriotic Band at Albert Ekka Chowk, Central Defence Minister Sanjay Seth addressed the assembled crowd, highlighting the importance of national pride and civic duty.

Seth noted that the stirring music performed by the force’s band serves as a bridge linking today’s youth with the heroic narratives of India’s independence movement. He reminded attendees that true patriotism demands discipline, responsibility, and a readiness to serve the country.

The audience, a mix of school pupils, NCC cadets and local families, responded with applause, reinforcing the message that collective remembrance strengthens social cohesion. The minister’s remarks were part of a larger programme of events taking place across India to mark eight decades of freedom.

Following the speech, the city’s streets filled with participants of a colourful Tiranga Yatra, showcasing flags and banners that celebrated unity.
