Datia By-Election: Umesh Bharti Endorses Ashutosh Tiwari, Highlights Narottam Mishra’s Big‑Hearted Support

Umesh Bharti, the ex‑chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, posted on X a supportive note for the upcoming Datia assembly by‑election. She gave her blessing to BJP nominee Ashutosh Tiwari and lauded senior leader Narottam Mishra’s “big‑hearted” involvement.

According to Bharti, she heard Mishra verbally commit to backing Tiwari’s candidacy, describing it as an ideal example of senior leadership. She expressed deep admiration for his generosity.

When Tiwari called her for a prayer, Bharti granted his request with enthusiasm, wishing him a clear triumph.

The BJP’s choice to replace former home minister Narottam Mishra with Ashutosh Tiwari has led to highway blockades by Mishra’s supporters, resulting in injuries among police personnel. The vote will take place on 30 July, with results declared on 3 August.
