Data‑Entry Job Scam Uncovered in Multi‑State Cyber Fraud

During the investigation, police discovered a parallel data‑entry job fraud run from call‑centers in Mumbai, Indore, Patna, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Chennai. The accused bought personal data of job seekers from online platforms at Rs 2‑8 per record, amassing details of more than 3.3 million individuals. He lured people with work‑from‑home promises, collected an initial fee of Rs 5,000 and later withheld payment, swindling over 750 victims of more than Rs 35 lakh.
