Domestic dispute leads to double stabbing in Muradabad's Daswan Ghat
In the early hours of November 7, police responding to a call from Daswan Ghat in Muradabad discovered a gruesome scene: Toukir, 26, had used a sharp instrument to cut the throat of his wife Farheen, 25, and subsequently inflicted a self‑inflicted neck injury.
Both individuals were immediately taken to the district hospital where medical staff reported serious wounds and placed them in intensive care for continuous monitoring.
During questioning, Farheen recounted a history of domestic violence, stating that she had filed several police complaints which were dismissed, prompting the tragic climax during a heated argument.
According to family statements, the couple’s relationship was strained, though the marriage was consented to by both families. Their mother, Shabana, arrived at the scene to find a chaotic household and demanded justice for her daughter.
The case is under investigation, with further details pending the outcome of the patients’ treatment.
