Dani Bandala calls for resignations after Jandiala Guru incident

The shooting at Navan Pind, near Jandiala Guru, left one teenager dead and another fighting for survival after being hit by a burst of 12‑14 rounds. The tragic episode sparked an immediate reaction from Congress veteran Sukvinder Singh Dani Bandala.

Bandala labeled the incident as proof that "law and order in Punjab has turned into a deserted road," adding that the state government’s claims of safety are "built on sand." He highlighted a recent bank robbery in Jandiala as another illustration of the chaos.

Focusing on the political elite, Bandala singled out Harbhajan Singh ETO, stating that the minister is "asleep in the depths of Kumbhakarna’s slumber" and that his inaction has allowed violence to fester. He demanded that any minister or MLA who cannot guarantee public safety resign without delay.

The congress leader also mentioned the Enforcement Directorate’s raids in Patiala, claiming they reveal the “empty promises” of the current administration. He concluded by urging citizens to hold the government accountable ahead of the next electoral cycle.
