Husain Dalvi responded sharply to Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's recent claim that an "Operation Lotus" was underway to buy legislators with multi‑crore rupee payments. Dalvi said the allegation, if true, raises a serious question: "Where did the money for the Ram Temple go?"
He accused the BJP of replacing traditional vote‑rigging with a more sophisticated scheme of seat manipulation. Dalvi warned that such practices erode democratic institutions and called for a thorough investigation by the Election Commission.
The congress leader stressed that any attempt to corrupt elected representatives must be exposed, regardless of the state or the political party involved.
