Jamshedpur police nabbed key suspect Sartaj Alam from Azadnagar police station limits. He is accused of partnering with foreign handlers to scout and send recruits to scam hubs. Probe details paint a grim picture: rogue agents enticed candidates with data entry gigs in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Bangkok, extracting thousands for fake visas and flights.
Upon landing, dreams shattered as passports were seized, herding victims into ‘KK Park’ scam compounds. Indoctrinated in digital deception, they built phony social media personas to target international victims with investment lures. Links to sham apps and sites led to fund transfers, while dissenters faced lockdown in guarded facilities.
Eleven victims identified so far highlight the scale. Legal charges span Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, IT Act sections 66(B-C-D), and immigration laws. Investigators are dissecting money flows and global connections.
