Escalating strife in the Gulf is sending shockwaves through India's energy sector, prompting top NDA figures to rally the public for fuel conservation. Central Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal led the charge with a direct plea for voluntary reductions in petrol and diesel consumption, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. In Bikaner, Meghwal addressed the media amid growing concerns. He explained, 'International tensions from the Gulf conflict necessitate lower petrol and diesel use. This voluntary request comes from the Prime Minister and me to all citizens: let's cut back while the crisis lingers to better manage the fallout.' BJP Bihar chief Sanjay Saravgi lauded PM Modi's personal example, traveling with a minimal two-vehicle convoy. 'With crude prices soaring and massive hikes in fuel costs abroad—up to 500% in places—PM Modi cut excise duties to ease public strain,' Saravgi said. 'He's called on everyone, including governments, to conserve fuel.' Promoting green alternatives, Saravgi spotlighted the newly approved Electric Vehicle policy. 'This will steer people towards EVs,' he said. PM Modi's UAE trip focuses on energy security, reinforcing India's commitment to national priorities on the global stage. On a separate front, Saravgi slammed opposition hypocrisy in the NEET UG scandal. 'The exam was scrapped, CBI probe launched—yet they protest. They clamored for action on paper leaks before; now they undermine it. Our children's futures are at stake.' Minister Ram Kripal Yadav confirmed arrests of five NEET culprits. 'We're acting decisively to prevent repeats,' he vowed. This multi-pronged response—from conservation drives to exam reforms—highlights NDA's strategy to tackle both immediate crises and long-term reforms, urging unity for India's stability.
