CSIR‑CSIO Recruitment 2024 – Security Officer, Receptionist, Driver Openings

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR‑CSIO) announced recruitment for a Security Officer (Group‑B), a Receptionist (Group‑B) and four Driver (Group‑C) positions. Interested candidates may submit their applications online starting 14 August, with the deadline fixed at 14 September, 5 pm.

Eligibility for the Security Officer post includes a minimum of ten years of experience as a former Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) – Subedar rank or above – in the armed forces or an equivalent role in a paramilitary agency. Short‑service commissioned officers and ex‑Assistant Commandants of CRPF, BSF, ITBP, etc., need five years of service, while paramilitary Inspectors must have ten years of experience.

Applicants for the Receptionist role should hold a bachelor's degree and possess at least two years of relevant experience in a government, autonomous or public‑sector organization.

Driver candidates must have a valid LMV/HMV licence, practical knowledge of vehicle mechanics, at least three years of driving experience and a minimum educational qualification of 10th standard.

The upper age limits are 35 years for Security Officers, 28 years for Receptionists and 27 years for Drivers, computed as of the closing date. Age relaxations are granted to those covered under reservation categories.

Selection will be carried out through application screening, short‑listing, physical test, written test, skill test and the final merit list. The salary package ranges from ₹19,900 to ₹1,42,400 monthly, depending on the designation.

The online application fee is ₹590 for General, OBC and EWS candidates. SC, ST, PwBD, ESM and female candidates will be exempted from the fee.
