CRPF and NDRF praised for teamwork in recent Assam floods

During the recent flood emergencies that battered Shivsgar, Charai Dew, Jorhat and Golaghat districts, the Governor highlighted the exemplary cooperation between the Central Reserve Police Force and the National Disaster Response Force. He commended their joint operations that involved swift evacuation, provision of relief supplies, and rescue missions in severely affected villages.

Governor Acharya noted that the CRPF's disciplined presence ensured law and order, allowing NDRF teams to focus on life‑saving tasks without hindrance. The combined effort, he said, demonstrated the "nation first, public service supreme" philosophy that both forces embody.

The Governor also appreciated the role of the State Disaster Response Force and local police units, emphasizing that a unified command structure and clear communication channels are essential during large‑scale disasters. He urged continued joint training to further refine response mechanisms.

He concluded by stressing the importance of community awareness, urging residents to stay informed about early warning systems and to participate in preparedness drills organized by these agencies.
