Officials acknowledge that the threat of insurgent attacks is not eliminated. Intelligence agencies continue to monitor IED placements, and sporadic clashes are reported. Nonetheless, the visible uplift in living standards demonstrates that coordinated security and development efforts can reshape even the most remote conflict‑affected zones.
