Creative Economy Boost: Delhi’s DSEU and MAAC Collaboration to Train Youth
In a step aimed at revitalising the city’s creative sectors, Delhi’s Education, Higher Education, Training and Technical Education Minister Ashish Sood unveiled a partnership between Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University and MAAC. The five‑year agreement integrates industry‑oriented training in animation, visual effects, gaming and design with a university‑validated degree. The scheme targets students after grade 12, offering them a clear route to international‑level careers. Sood highlighted that the collaboration aligns with the NEP, the National Credit Framework and the central government’s designation of the AVGC‑XR sector as a sunrise industry, forecasting a 16‑17% annual growth and a demand for two million trained professionals by 2030.
