Court Orders Medical‑Based Interim Release for Hotel Proprietor in Fire Case

Justice Sachin Dutta of the Delhi High Court cleared an interim bail petition filed by Lovkesh Bajaj, the owner of the Malviya Nagar hotel implicated in a fire incident. The decision was based exclusively on Bajaj’s recent abdominal surgery and the risk of complications. The court stipulated a four‑week interim release, requiring a personal bond of ₹25,000 and a matching surety. Bajaj must remain in the National Capital Region, keep his phone’s location services on, and avoid any communication with the deceased’s relatives or witnesses. Upon expiry of the bail, he is required to surrender before the jail superintendent.
