Court hears petition to bar CJP rally at Connaught Place central park

The Delhi High Court on Thursday recorded the assurances provided by the police regarding the upcoming CJP rally. A bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Nitin Vasudev Sambare and Justice Sanjay Sharma heard a petition filed by Anil Kumar Gupta, a street vendor from the municipal market near Connaught Place. The petition seeks to prohibit any CJP gathering at Central Park or any other unauthorized venue, citing potential disruption to commercial activities during a weekend that includes major Hindu festivals.
