Counting Begins Early in Bankiipur By‑Poll; BJP Announces Grand Laddu Giveaway

Vote counting for the Bankiipur by‑poll commenced at 8 a.m. in Patna’s AN College, where election officials first processed postal votes before turning to electronic voting machines at 8:30 a.m. The tally is still in progress, but BJP members have already expressed unwavering confidence in their candidate, Neeraj Kumar Sinha.

Krishna Kumar Kallu, a member of the BJP’s state working committee, told the press that the party is preparing a massive 200‑quintal laddu distribution, set to begin at 11 a.m. The sweet treat is meant to be shared among supporters as a celebratory token of the anticipated win. Kallu stressed that the party’s grassroots campaigning has laid a solid foundation for this outcome.

Local activist Satyaprakash added that the constituency’s history of favoring the BJP makes a landslide victory likely. He warned that any “fabricated” candidates in the fray will lose relevance after the official results are released. The BJP aims to repeat its past success in Bankiipur, where even a minimal presence of its legislators kept the seat under party control.
