Former KCCI President’s Land Confiscated in Ongoing Probe

Srinagar’s Counter‑Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit reported the confiscation of a 12‑marla land parcel belonging to Dr. Mubeen Ahmad Shah, ex‑chairperson of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The seizure is tied to a case filed in 2020 that is still under active investigation. The land, located in Buchwara, Srinagar district, was taken after the CIK police station filed an FIR and fulfilled all statutory requirements. The CIK team, accompanied by local revenue officials, executed the seizure and completed the requisite paperwork on the spot. Dr. Shah, a prominent businessman and KCCI head from 2006‑2008, has been residing in Malaysia with his family since the end of 2019. Police officials stated that the move is part of the larger investigation and that further legal proceedings will follow the established law. The operation was witnessed by Deputy Tehsildar Shah Mohammad Asif, though officials declined to share further specifics at the time.
