Coordinated Efforts Urged to Curb Smuggling and Cyber Crime Along 735‑km Border
In the Friday session, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary highlighted the pressing need to clamp down on economic offenses and suspicious movements in the India‑Nepal border area. The border stretches across seven districts of Bihar, encompassing 70 police stations and 194 SSB Border Out‑posts.
Officials were instructed to strengthen surveillance up to 15 kilometres from each checkpoint and to intensify monitoring of financial crimes and drug trafficking. A joint task force involving district administration, police and border security forces will meet regularly to flag individuals whose declared income shows sudden, unexplained spikes.
The Chief Minister ordered that any identified irregularities be documented thoroughly and pursued through legal channels, reinforcing Bihar’s commitment to a secure and transparent border zone.
