Coordinated Effort Retrieves 16‑Year‑Old from Bangalore, Accused Detained

South Tripura authorities announced the successful retrieval of a 16‑year‑old girl who had gone missing in Bangalore. The case, registered on June 27, received immediate priority. Using digital forensics, including CDR and LBS analysis, investigators traced the victim and the suspect to Bangalore. A three‑officer team, led by Sub‑Inspector Ramani Debbarma, worked with Whitefield police and airport officials to secure the girl's safe return. The suspect was presented before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate on August 13, and a transit warrant was issued for his appearance in Sabroom court. The girl is now being looked after according to child‑protection protocols.
