Connect Post Office Network Expands to Shivpuri, Guna and Gwalior

In a ceremony held on Wednesday, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Sindhia opened a high‑tech main post office in Shivpuri, alongside revamped facilities in Guna and Gwalior.

The new Shivpuri post office embodies the Connect Post Office concept, featuring self‑service kiosks, real‑time tracking displays, and integrated financial service counters. Officials said the design aims to make postal interactions faster, safer and more convenient for the public.

The minister highlighted that the initiative goes beyond mail handling; it seeks to turn post offices into one‑stop centres for government schemes, digital payments and community outreach. By replicating this model in Guna and Gwalior, the department hopes to standardise service quality across urban and rural landscapes.

Sindhia also remarked on Shivpuri’s accelerating development, noting recent upgrades in power supply, road connectivity and healthcare facilities. He reaffirmed the government’s pledge to bring high‑quality public amenities to every citizen, positioning the modern post office as a key component of that vision.
