Congress Calls for Unity and 2027 Goal to Unseat BJP in Uttar Pradesh

Speaking about coalition politics, Mishra reiterated the Congress party’s commitment to work with all allies to defeat the BJP in Uttar Pradesh by the 2027 state elections.

She dismissed the idea that seat‑sharing negotiations are the main issue, emphasizing instead the need for a united front that can secure a collective victory. "Our mission is to remove the BJP government from the state and build an India Block government," she declared.

Mishra also responded to comments from Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, stressing that the India Block is a national-level alliance backed by senior leaders, not a mere regional arrangement.
