Congress and SP Comment on Jharkhand Exam Cancellation and Future Safeguards

The cancellation of the JSSC‑CGL exam and all examinations overseen by the TDP‑L agency in Jharkhand has drawn reactions from major political parties. Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput said that senior student leader Devendra Nath Mahato has openly declared his intention to collaborate with the government, noting that the protest has subsided after the administration met key demands.

Ashutosh Verma of the Samajwadi Party highlighted that the state has also withdrawn the JPSC 2023‑24 and backlog examinations. He called for a permanent prohibition on any black‑listed printing company from handling exam papers, arguing that such a ban would bring much‑needed transparency and protect students' academic futures.

Both parties underscored the importance of building a resilient examination framework to prevent future paper‑leak scandals and ensure that students can trust the integrity of the testing process.
