Congress Leader Calls for Fertiliser Supply Before Sowing
Ahead of the crucial sowing period, Congress stalwart Kamal Nath demanded that Madhya Pradesh’s government guarantee a smooth and sufficient supply of fertiliser to the state’s farmers.
He reminded the public that each year growers endure long waiting periods, chaotic queues outside depots and the constant threat of fake fertiliser slipping into the system. Despite repeated assurances from the BJP government about robust inventory levels, the on‑ground situation has not improved.
Nath warned that without immediate corrective measures, the fertiliser shortage could evolve into a full‑blown agricultural crisis, further aggravating rural distress. He called on the state authorities to address both logistical bottlenecks and the technical glitches in the e‑token system, ensuring that farmers receive the inputs they need without added digital obstacles.
