Pilot slams BJP government over student protests and Rahul Gandhi’s exclusion

Congress stalwart Sachin Pilot slammed the BJP‑led state administration for turning a blind eye to student agitation and for preventing opposition leader Rahul Gandhi from speaking in the Lok Sabha. Pilot said the government’s fear of a second round of elections stems from its awareness that youth anger is reaching a boiling point.

He pointed to the Supreme Court’s intervention that forced the ruling party to schedule Panchayat and municipal elections, describing it as a necessary corrective for democracy.

Pilot also condemned the celebratory reception given to Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan after his resignation, arguing that such gestures illustrate how distant the government has become from ordinary citizens and their concerns.
