Congress has made it clear that its campaign against the Special Intensive Review and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar will not be halted by the festive calendar. Party representatives highlighted that while certain activities such as railway, metro, and air travel may see limited disruptions, the core demand for the commissioner's resignation remains unchanged. Rakesh Sinha remarked that the central government tends to shut down transport services out of fear, creating an "unofficial emergency". The party insists the protest will stay active until the commissioner tender his resignation.
