Congress Claims Election Commission Lost Credibility

Mishra questioned the credibility of the Election Commission after the authority allegedly sanctioned appointments of Gyanesh Kumar and two associates despite earlier objections from senior leaders, including Rahul Gandhi.

She asked, "Who is responsible for eroding the trust in this constitutional body?" and warned that a weakened commission could jeopardise free and fair elections.

The Congress leader urged the commission to act independently and restore public faith ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh polls.
